The Cowboys defeated a skilled and determined Lethbridge Rams team, 31-22, to capture their second consecutive Tier 1 Alberta Provincial Bantam Football Championship title. In what was an exciting and thrilling rematch of last year's championship game, the Rams took an early lead on a long run from scrimmage. The Cowboys would answer back, and after trading scores again the Cowboys would hold a 23-22 halftime lead. In the third quarter the Cowboys forced the Rams to give up a safety, putting the Cowboys up by 3 going into the fourth quarter. A lengthy drive was capped off with a 4-yard run from D/O line-converted running back Massimo Piatelli (shades of William "Refrigerator" Perry from the 1985 Chicago Bears) to give the Cowboys some insurance.
Last week in the semi-finals, the Lethbridge Rams defeated the West Edmonton Raiders 36-16, and the Cowboys defeated the Sherwood Park Rams 23-8.
On Remembrance Day the Eagles travelled up to Edmonton to take on the Chargers in the Tier 3 Alberta Provincial Bantam Football Championship game. The Eagles started strong, and led 18-6 at halftime. They managed to hold on for an 18-14 victory to win the Tier 3 Championship.
