On a snowy and chilly night at Shouldice Park, the Chiefs and the Mavericks win their games and advance to the Calgary Division 3 championship game.
The snow played into the Chiefs hands, as they put their run game to good use in the difficult playing conditions on Hellard Field. Led by their star running back Zander Alaric, the Chiefs ran for 4 touchdowns and defeated the Hilltoppers for the second time in two weeks, 30-13. For the Hilltoppers, Ben Rudolph ran for 2 touchdowns, but in the end it wasn't quite enough to overcome the Chiefs stingy defence.
The Mavericks used their potent ground game to full effect scoring 6 first-half touchdowns in the snow, and ending the Rebels night and season early with a 43-0 victory. Nico Civitarese carried much of the load for the Mavericks, with honorable mention to Lyndon Agdomar as well. The Rebels didn't go down without a fight, but had some promising drives end with either a fumble or an interception. Christopher Ireland played QB for the Rebels, making a number of good plays with his feet and completing a long pass into traffic for a big first down.
